Cultural Events are student-curated speaker events held in Campbell Hall, an 860-capacity venue on UCSB’s campus. Hosted by AS Program Board, these events feature culturally relevant figures engaging in unscripted, thought-provoking conversations that spark dialogue and connection within the campus community.
What had to be done?
As Graphics Coordinator for Cultural Events, I designed all visual assets including posters, social media content, and promotional materials for speaker events in Campbell Hall. I supported marketing efforts to drive student awareness and attendance, ensuring each event reflected the speaker’s unique voice and cultural significance.
Working alongside a 16-person team, I contributed to every stage of event planning, from participating in speaker selection and booking logistics to hands-on support with setup and cleanup. This role allowed me to bring impactful conversations with figures like Angela Davis and Trixie & Katya to the UCSB community.
